Edith Schaeffer

Edith Schaeffer (1914–2013) was an American Christian author and co-founder of L'Abri, a Christian community and study center, with her husband, Francis Schaeffer. She was known for her books on Christianity and family life, her advocacy for a Christian worldview, and her role in the evangelical movement during the 20th century. Edith's works often reflected her beliefs in the importance of beauty, art, and the home in Christian life, as she encouraged readers to practice hospitality and to appreciate the significance of everyday activities as expressions of faith. Her contributions helped shape the dialogue on Christian family values and the intersection of faith with daily living.
