Fran Wilde is a science fiction and fantasy author whose works explore the power of technology, the nature of identity, and the consequences of power and prejudice. She has written the novels Updraft, Cloudbound, Horizon, and Riverland, as well as the novellas The Jewel and Her Lapidary and The True Mask. She is also the author of the short story collection, The Jewel and Her Lapidary, and the nonfiction book, The Firelight Guide to Writing Fantasy.
