Gary Phillips is an American author and screenwriter best known for his crime fiction and non-fiction works. He has written numerous books, including the Ivan Monk series, as well as several graphic novels. He is also the co-creator of the comic book series The Rinse. He has been nominated for the Edgar Award and the Anthony Award.
