James Becker is a pseudonym for the British author Peter Stuart Smith, who writes thriller novels, often with historical and action-adventure elements. He is best known for his Chris Bronson series, which typically feature ancient secrets and conspiracy theories intertwined with fast-paced plots. Prior to becoming a full-time author, James Becker gained experience in the Royal Navy and as a police officer, which contributed to the authenticity and detail found in his novels. As well as writing under his own name, Peter Stuart Smith has also written books under several other pseudonyms, including Tom Kasey and Tom Baxter.
