Mark Olshaker is an American author, filmmaker, and Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker. He is best known for his collaborations with former FBI profiler John E. Douglas, particularly the "MindHunter" books on which the Netflix series of the same name is partly based. Olshaker has co-written several books with Douglas about criminal psychology and profiling, providing insights into the minds of serial killers and other violent criminals. Alongside his work in true crime, he has also written fiction, non-fiction, and has been involved in writing and producing documentaries on a wide range of topics including history, science, and public health.
