Nicholas Sparks is an American novelist, screenwriter and producer. He is known for his romantic fiction novels, which have been adapted into popular films such as The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and The Last Song. His novels typically explore the themes of love, tragedy, and hope. Sparks lives in North Carolina and after attaining records in track in field while at Notre Dame, he spent time coaching High School Track in New Bern, North Carolina. His speed is not limited to track field, when he was only 28 (1996), he wrote his best known novel The Notebook in a quick 6 months.
