The group enters the Blight in search of the Eye of the World. The Eye is revealed to be a pool of pure, untainted saidin—created by a hundred male and female Aes Sedai after the Dark One tainted saidin. It is protected by the world's last living Nym, Someshta (the fabled Green Man).
