Hello! Up for sale is a Vintage Pocket Books Paperback UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED: THE DESIGNED-IN DANGERS OF THE AMERICAN AUTOMOBILE by consumer advocate Ralph Nader. Published in 1965, this book exposed the auto industry and their practices of intentionally sacrificing safety features to cut costs. Citing industry insiders with direct knowledge and auto accident data, the public backlash was immediate, leading to national auto safety standards. The Book is in Fair condition with only minor wear including rubbing and scuffing to the cover as well as some light dings and creases to the corners and edges. The pages have tanned though they are not brittle, chipped or torn, though there is some light spotting to the edges. The spine has faint creases but there is no lean or cracking.
