My husband bought this and put it on a bookshelf, never to be touched again (minus being boxed and moved and then put back on the bookshelf). The books inside have literally never been opened. They are new. It does look like the matte finishing has rubbed off parts of the slipcover. Can take pictures of the books if needed.
